Are viruses getting meaner? Let me help.... - sick soap to the rescue -

Hi Followers!

I'm coming off one of the sicker weeks of my life. Not emailing to complain or seek sympathy, just to let you know that while I spent a week hacking up my lungs and wondering if I was gonna die, or wish I would and just get it over with, I noticed so many others with the same thing! EVERYONE IS GETTING SO SICK! Long, lingering SICK! Despite testing and re-testing, I kept coming up negative for Covid, I was vaxxed for RSV and pneumonia, so I guess this was just a nasty bug with it's eyes on me and my husband.

Anyway, while I sat soaking in a hot bathtub, the only thing that really felt good and helped my congested chest, was breathing hot steamy vapors. I was inspired to dig into my herbal books and conjure & craft this soap which most definitely helped me! Loaded with menthol and an essential oil blend known to assist opening breathing passages, I offer you "B R E A T H E" - www.ancientalchemy.com/product-page/b-r-e-a-t-h-e I dragged my sorry sick butt out to the workshop in desperation to make some/any progress toward finally getting better and made this soap! Truth is, it not only helped us feel better, but I just like it as spa-type skin-wake-up bar, as well! Whoo-hoo!

Also of assistance was my favorite "sick soup"....loaded with herbs to help cure what ails ya! I give you:

MEDICINE WOMAN SOUP

If available, use all herbal additions FRESH, but dried is fine, too!

  • 2 boxes of chicken or vegetable broth (I usually go vegetarian, but there's a lot of literature that supports chicken soup as having healing attributes, your choice)

  • 1 block extra-firm tofu pressed and then cubed into 1/2" cubes (If you're a chicken-eater, add 1 lb. of cooked chicken, cubed or shredded)

  • 4 - 6 green onions sliced, white and green parts

  • 2 stalks celery, sliced

  • 2 carrots, sliced

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • 1 cup chopped fresh spinach

  • 1/2 cup shitake mushrooms, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground rosemary herb

  • 1 teaspoon ground fennel

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground lemongrass

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove

  • 2 slices fresh peeled ginger, chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon cilantro, chopped

  • black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1 cup uncooked noodles or rice, as per your taste. Omit if you prefer a brothier soup.

Saute celery, carrots, and garlic in olive oil until soft, then add remaining ingredients and let simmer 1/2 hour. Serve and get well!
